Origin of the Name San Carlos
Originally, the place was called sitio “Nailaw”. Then it was changed to “Kagaral”, but the barrio folks disliked these names, so it was changed to “Triple Union”. Finally, on April 15, 1963, the name was changed to San Carlos, the place known for its big hill, “Motong Dako” and the Boy/Girl Scouts campsite, Garcia Park and Camp Inday, in honor of the 4th President of the Republic of the Philippines and his Lady.
